Warranty Clerk

Responsibilities:
Qualifications of the candidate is to have a working understanding of various aspects of warranty processes at the dealer and at the OEM, including the following:

• Accurately code warranty, maintenance, extended service claims, and repair orders based on customer situation.
• Accurately and timely enter/process warranty claims in into the dealership/OEM warranty claims systems for payment.
• Review warranty claims for accuracy, completeness and adherence to documentation standards required by the OEM/dealership.
• Review and process all returned/rejected/adjusted warranty claims, and take ownership to track each claim until it is resolved.
• Handle and resolve all claim corrections and charge-backs.
• Manage warranty parts identification and disposal (as needed).
• Maintain service and customer records as required by the warranty repair manual.
• Proactive communication with customer/dealer/OEM as appropriate to explain warranty covered, not covered, and ongoing communication and issue resolution. Ensure high level of customer experience and focus.
• Maintain positive working relationships with the service and parts departments.
• Establish and maintain relationships with the OEM’s designated warranty representatives.
• Stay current on all required OEM announcements, bulletins, communications, recalls, etc.
• Stay current on all required OEM online training classes and onsite training.
• Initiate / support warranty reviews and trainings for claim accuracy and quality, proficiency and technician requirements.

Experience:

• relevant: 1 year of automotive dealership experience in order to qualify for this position(Preferred)
